Friends of Uni North Owls
Working to make the OWLS stronger
The FUNOwls is an independent group of individuals who work together to support the Uni Norths Rugby Club.
The objective is to raise funds to specifically benefit the Uni Norths Owls Rugby Union Club. The objective is for the funds to be used for an enduring benefit and to be recognised as contributed by the FUNOwls.
The most recent contributions are more than $5,000 for a gear trailer for away games and $2,000 plus for juniors for training equipment.
The broader purpose of FUNOwls is to provide a forum for the extensive Owls community to share friendship, good company, and have some fun whilst knowing their little contribution will be of enduring benefit to the club.
The FUNOWLS are not tied to individual club sponsors nor in competition to the clubs sponsorship program. The Friends program is targeted at individuals in the broader community that may or may not have or had a direct link with Owls Rugby.
NOBS (Norths Old Boys), ANUitants and Killer Bees Old Boys/Women are very important. All have deep histories and long memories encompassing all the stories from players from those eras.
FUNOwls is not an old boys/ girls network it is a fundraising mechanism directed towards individuals.
Current membership is $250 annually and enables personal interaction with current players through social functions during the playing season.
The current Coordinators are Sean Hammond and John Cattle.
